2026 I Developing the State of the Environment Report of the ASGM Sector of Guyana

Strengthening the Enabling Frameworks for Biodiversity Mainstreaming and Mercury Reduction in Artisanal and Small-scale Gold Mining (ASGM) Operations.

2025 I Support to the National Tree Planting Project under the LCDS.

Worked alongside the Protected Areas Commission and Guyana Forestry Commission to conduct site visits, review implementation methodologies, and refine technicial standards for planting and maintennace

2025 I Developed National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAPs) for Anguilla, the British Virgin Islands, and Montserrat.

With funding from the EU, the OECS Commission has undertaken implementation of the Biodiversity Support Programme for African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and Coastal Countries (also known as BioSPACE) to support regional, national and local efforts to assess, protect, manage and sustainably use marine and terrestrial biodiversity.

2025 I Technical and Scientific Cooperation (TSC) Centre for the implementation of the Global Biodiversity Framework.

Developed a project for the CARICOM Secretariat as Host for a regional TSC Centre for the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KMGBF) including 5-year plan, resource mobilisation strategy, and pilot activities.

2024 I Training of Negotiators to Effectively Participate in the 16th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP16).

With funding support by the EU, increased the capacity of negotiators from CARICOM and OECS delegations to participate in CBD COP16 in Cali, Colombia. Aligned the draft Caribbean Biodiversity Strategy to the Global Biodiversity Framework (KMGBF).

2024 I GEF Supported NBSAP Early Action Support Project

Developed documents and guidance notes to help countries receiving support through the GEF Early Action Support Programme to prepare for updating/revising the NBSAPs that align fully with the newly adopted Kunming Montreal GBF.

2023 I Completion Review of Guyana’s Country Strategy Note (CSN)

Assessed the success of the CSN including the implementation of the Hinterland Environmentally Sustainable Agricultural Development (HESAD) Project.

2023 I Revegetation Plan to Offset the Impact of the Project Sites for GUYSOL

Prepared a revegetation plan to offset the biodiversity losses resulting from the clearing of vegetation at 3 of the 8 proposed sites due to the construction of the solar PV farms and their related facilities (transmission lines, access roads).

2022 I Regional Action Plan for the NWA Leatherback

Analysed the priorities for the North West Atlantic (NWA) leatherback sea turtle sub-population at a national level for Guyana as part of the regional action plan for the leatherback (Dermochelys Coriacea).
